We are looking for a skilled DB2 Database Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical DB2 systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. This is a 'hands-on' position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The DB2 Database Administrator will be responsible for the development and sustainment of the DB2 Infrastructure, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, and performing data modeling in support of multiple development teams. The DB2 Database Administrator will also be responsible for orchestrating upgrades, backups, and provisioning of database instances. They will work in tandem with the other teams, preparing documentations and specifications as required.

  • Manage DB2 databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes.
  • Monitor system's health and performance.
  • Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification.
  • Must be certified as a DB2 DBA.
  • Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
  • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for DB2.
  • Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory.
