We are looking for a passionate and dedicated geoarchaeologist to join our team to investigate and interpret the interactions between geological environments and archaeological remains. Geoarchaeology is an interdisciplinary field combining methods and knowledge from geology and archaeology to better understand the natural context of archaeological sites and how they have been influenced by environmental changes over time. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing geological samples, interpreting sedimentological and geomorphological data, and collaborating with archaeologists and other specialists to reconstruct the environment in which ancient civilizations lived. You will use modern field and laboratory techniques, including geological mapping, petrographic analysis, and dating methods, to contribute to understanding the processes affecting archaeological sites. The ideal candidate has a solid background in geology and archaeology, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for interdisciplinary research.
