We are looking for a compassionate Home Health Aide to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients' homes in accordance with an established care plan. You will be responsible for making our patients feel comfortable and supported while also providing a high level of care. Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal hygiene, including shower, tub or bed baths, oral care, hair and skin care.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties.
  • Help patients with physical therapy exercises.
  • Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the patients (when they are able).
  • Do the patient’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
  • Perform general health care tasks such as taking vital signs and administering medication.
  • Monitor patient’s condition by observing physical and mental condition and exercise.
  • Support patients by providing housekeeping and laundry services, shopping for food and other household requirements, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and running errands.
  • Assist patients by providing personal services, such as, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Help patients care for themselves by teaching use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide certification training program.
  • Ability to monitor vital signs and to collect specimens.
  • Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Nursing and health care administration skills.
  • Caring and compassionate personality.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Physical endurance to perform all duties.
