We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This includes conducting chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using a microscope or automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases, and entering findings into the computer. The Medical Laboratory Technologist will also set up, adjust, maintain and clean medical laboratory equipment. They will be expected to analyze the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using special mechanical and electrical devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of microbiology, hematology, immunology, and clinical chemistry. They will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Perform complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
  • Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using microscope or automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases, and enter findings into computer.

  • Provide technical information about test results to physicians, family members, or researchers.
  • Develop, standardize, evaluate, or modify procedures, techniques, or tests used in the analysis of specimens or in medical laboratory experiments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Strong understanding of microbiology, hematology, immunology, and clinical chemistry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with laboratory information systems.
