We are looking for a Model Maker to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality physical and/or digital models used in design development, visualization, prototyping, entertainment, manufacturing, or artistic production. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented craftsperson or creative technician who can transform concepts, sketches, technical drawings, and digital files into accurate, visually compelling, and functional models. The Model Maker plays an important role in helping teams test ideas, communicate design intent, present concepts to clients, and support production planning. A successful candidate will be comfortable working with a variety of materials, tools, and fabrication methods, which may include wood, foam, plastics, resin, metal, clay, textiles, paints, adhesives, hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, laser cutters, 3D printers, and digital modeling software. Depending on the industry, the Model Maker may build architectural scale models, product prototypes, exhibition pieces, costume or prop elements, industrial mock-ups, or artistic forms. The position requires both technical precision and creative problem-solving, as each project may involve unique specifications, deadlines, and quality expectations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, architects, artists, production teams, and project managers to understand project goals and determine the best methods for model construction. You will interpret blueprints, CAD files, concept art, and verbal instructions, then plan and execute fabrication steps efficiently. Attention to scale, proportion, finish quality, structural integrity, and presentation is essential. You may also be responsible for repairing, modifying, or updating existing models as designs evolve. The ideal candidate has strong manual dexterity, patience, and a commitment to craftsmanship. You should be able to manage multiple projects, maintain an organized workspace, and follow safety procedures when using specialized equipment and materials. Experience with both traditional model-making techniques and modern digital fabrication tools is highly valued. Strong communication skills are also important, as you will need to explain fabrication choices, provide progress updates, and respond to feedback constructively. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on creation, precision work, and bringing ideas to life in tangible form. If you are passionate about making detailed models that support innovation, storytelling, design communication, or production excellence, we encourage you to apply.
