We are looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings. Work may involve any of the following: setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal; shaping metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using hammer; operating soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts; or inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and joints of burred surfaces. To excel in this role, you should have a good understanding of engineering and construction principles, be proficient in welding and metal fabrication, and have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams. This position requires physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions.   • Select types of sheet metal according to project specifications.
  • Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets.
  • Drill holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets.
  • Install metal sheets with supportive frameworks.
  • Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites.
  • Maneuver large sheet metal parts to be installed.
  • Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Operate fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers.
  • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts.
  • Maintain equipment, making repairs and modifications when necessary.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a sheet metal technology program preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker.
  • In-depth knowledge of welding and metal fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
  • Excellent math skills to calculate measurements and angles.
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.).
  • Good coordination and manual skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
