We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tool Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, repairing, and maintaining precision tools, dies, and special guiding and holding devices that enable machines to manufacture a variety of products. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, precision, and the ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings. As a Tool Maker, you will work closely with engineers and machinists to ensure that tools are designed and fabricated to exact specifications. You will use a variety of machine tools and hand tools to build and repair jigs, fixtures, dies, and molds. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and quality of the production process. Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting engineering drawings, setting up and operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, and using precision measuring instruments to check the accuracy of finished products. You will also be expected to troubleshoot and repair worn or damaged tools and collaborate with other departments to improve tool designs and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in machining and toolmaking, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Experience with CAD software and CNC programming is a plus. This is a hands-on role that requires a high degree of manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
