You work independently or as part of a team, depending on the location and nature of the assignment. To work as a traffic controller, you need a valid certificate proving you are authorized to direct traffic. In addition, it is important that you are physically fit, have good communication skills, and present yourself professionally. Work experience in a similar role is a plus but not always required.
