We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Customs Broker to join our logistics and compliance team. As a Customs Broker, you will be responsible for ensuring that all imports and exports comply with relevant customs laws and regulations. You will act as a liaison between our company, government agencies, and clients to facilitate the smooth and legal movement of goods across international borders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international trade laws, tariff classifications, and customs documentation. You will be expected to prepare and submit necessary documentation, calculate duties and taxes, and ensure timely clearance of shipments. Your role is critical in avoiding delays, penalties, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will work closely with freight forwarders, importers, exporters, and government agencies such as U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously are essential for success in this position.
We are seeking someone who is licensed by the appropriate national customs authority (e.g., CBP in the U.S.) and has a proven track record in customs brokerage. You should be comfortable using customs software and databases, and have a solid grasp of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes, Incoterms, and import/export procedures.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about international trade and compliance. If you are a proactive problem-solver with a commitment to accuracy and regulatory adherence, we encourage you to apply.
