We are looking for a skilled Linux Network Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring the infrastructure; troubleshooting any issues related to infrastructure; and ensuring that all network equipment complies with industry standards. You will also be tasked with analyzing and resolving technical problems for established networks; planning, testing, recommending, and implementing network, file server, mainframe, and workstation hardware and software; consulting with department heads to develop system solutions consistent with organizational objectives; and developing and implementing policies for network asset management, including IP address management, network equipment life cycle, and version control and upgrade strategies. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. A strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware is also required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator
  • Hands-on experience in networking, routing and switching
  • Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
  • Ability to set up and configure server hardware
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
  • Great at organising, prioritising and multitasking
  • Juniper, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE training
  • Linux+ or LPI certification
  • Understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
